Fall temperatures arrive Friday, cool weekend ahead
WASHINGTON - Fall temperatures are finally here! FOX 5's Sue Palka says cooler temperatures mean we're ready to sack summer which means Friday night football -- or anything else you're doing outside after sunset -- may require a jacket!
Overnight, a stronger push of refreshing air powered through the area to bring more sunshine, a gusty breeze from the north and afternoon temperatures that should max out in the lower to mid-70s in the D.C. region on Friday.
Downright chilly temperatures heading into Saturday morning will be in the 40s in the suburbs leading to a sun-filled and gorgeous autumn day in the 60s. Enjoy the season change! We sure waited long enough!
