Washington Nationals watch parties planned for Yards Park
WASHINGTON - We get it – World Series tickets are expensive.
But even if you can’t get to Nationals Park to cheer on Washington as they play the Houston Astros, you can still join other fans to cheer on the hometown team.
Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, Yards Park will host parties celebrating the Nationals – and their historic appearance in the 2019 World Series.
Friday’s event will include the Eastern Senior High Marching Band, live music on the boardwalk stage, games, face painting, and food and drink starting at 6 p.m.
At 8 p.m., fans can gather around an 18-foot LED screen to cheer on the Nationals.
The watch party will continue on Saturday and Sunday starting at 2 p.m. both days.
More information is available at the Capitol Riverfront website’s World Series page.
