VIDEO: Bear spotted in Montgomery County
SILVER SPRING, Md. (FOX 5 DC) - A bear was spotted sprinting through Montgomery County on Tuesday.
Video captured the bear as it ran behind a building in Longmead, near the Aspen Hill and Silver Spring area of Montgomery County, at about 8:25 p.m.
Lisa Holland told FOX 5 she and her daughter were driving when they saw the bear and captured the video.
The Montgomery County Police Department told FOX 5 it received two calls reporting bear sightings. The first came in at about 7:45 p.m. on Homecrest Court and the second call came in at about 8:30 p.m. near the Argyle Country Club near Longmead Road and Layhill Road.
Officers responded to the areas but did not locate the bear.
