Unattended package reported as suspicious at White House declared safe, officials say
WASHINGTON (FOX 5 DC) - An unattended package reported as suspicious at the White House Thursday evening was declared safe, officials say.
DC Fire & EMS said they received a call at around 5:15 p.m. in reference to the package at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW.
At around 8 p.m., the Secret Service said Explosive Ordnance Disposal personnel responded to the scene at declared the package safe.
