Missing Bethesda man found dead in wooded area of GW Parkway
WASHINGTON - A body discovered in a wooded area of the George Washington Memorial Parkway Friday afternoon has been identified as a missing 51-year-old man from Bethesda.
Montgomery County police said Alejandro Arlia was reported missing after he was last seen at noon on Wednesday. The Argentine national's vehicle was located early Thursday at around 3:45 a.m. at the 2nd overlook of the George Washington Memorial Parkway by a U.S. Park Police officer on patrol.
Park Police then began a search in conjunction with D.C. police's Harbor Patrol and Montgomery County police and found Arlia under the Donaldson Run Bridge.
Park Police said foul play is not suspected in Arlia's death and detectives are continuing to investigate.
