DC Snow: How much has fallen so far?
WASHINGTON - Snow began falling in the D.C. area overnight Sunday into Monday, bringing anywhere from two to nine inches of snow so far in some areas, with more snowfall expected throughout the day.
How much snow has fallen so far?
Some areas south of D.C. are seeing up to ten inches of snow as of Monday evening.
Indian Head, MD recorded 9 inches around 4:30 p.m., according to the National Weather Service.

At Baltimore Thurgood Marshall Airport, snow totals were 5.8" as of 4:30 p.m. Dulles International Airport had seen 4.6" so far, and Reagan National Airport had seen 5.5".

The heaviest snowfall Monday morning has been falling in D.C. and in areas south of the D.C. metro area, according to FOX 5 Chief Meteorologist Tucker Barnes.
Parts of south D.C. have seen six to nine inches of snow as of 9:00 a.m. Monday, with more to come.
The National Weather Service has recorded as much as seven inches of snow by 8:00 a.m. in parts of Northern Virginia.
Leonardtown, MD had recorded 9.0 inches of snow as recently as 4::0o.m., according to NWS.
How much more snow is expected to fall?
The FOX 5 Weather Team is forecasting anywhere from an additional two inches to nearly six additional inches of snow to fall depending on the area. Salisbury is expected to see an additional 5.8 inches of snow by this evening.
Snowfall rates between one and three inches per hour are possible through mid-morning. There will be a break from late morning through early afternoon with intermittent light snow, sleet, or freezing drizzle. A second round of snow is expected late this afternoon and evening before the precipitation ends tonight.
The snow continues to fall Monday morning, expecting to bring additional accumulation across the region. This is how much more to expect as of 8:30 a.m.
