Originally from the Philadelphia area, Elissa received a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from Hofstra University's Honors College. She's been on the digital side at Newsday, amNewYork and The National Desk before joining FOX 5.
Outside the newsroom, Elissa runs a biweekly Spanish language meetup in D.C., dances salsa and bachata and loves to travel.
