Virginia retiree adopts 40 pound cat
A retiree from Virginia has adopted a chunky 40 pound cat after an ad about the enormous feline went viral. Richmond Animal Care and Control posted the ad Wednesday morning on Facebook, saying Patches needed a new home. It got more than 2,000 likes and 1,200 comments. Kay Ford said she and Patches were a purr-fect match so she hurried down to the shelter to adopt him.
