VIDEO: Boy forgets words to national anthem at Redskins luncheon, but then something amazing happens

Anyone who has ever sung the national anthem in public knows the pressure is really on. But something amazing happened when a DC-area boy forgot the words to The Star Spangled Banner at the Washington Redskins' 2016 Welcome Home Luncheon Wednesday.

Malik Walton represented the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Washington, and was chosen to sing the national anthem to start the event. But when it was time, the nerves took over, and Malik just couldn't find the words.

Lucky for Malik, there was an entire room-- filled with Redskins players, officials, community leaders and fans-- ready to come to his rescue. As you'll see from the video, everyone in the room immediately started singing The Star Spangled Banner right along with him.

The annual luncheon is held to welcome the team back from training camp and to pay tribute to their achievements both on and off the field, as well as to support youth programs around the DC region.
