WASHINGTON - D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser was awake and on FOX 5 Thursday morning celebrating the Washington Nationals who just hours before won their first World Series title in franchise history!
"We just believed in those guys. They won four away games to take the World Series!" she told us on the air.
Bowser told us that the team will head back from Houston on Thursday. She said she doesn’t have any of the details on their arrival just yet but will keep us up to date.
Her office announced early Thursday that the championship parade will be held on Saturday, November 2 at 2 p.m. The parade will begin on Constitution Avenue NW at 15th Street NW, proceed east along Constitution Avenue NW, and end on Pennsylvania Avenue NW at 3rd Street NW with a team rally.
