Woman attacked with stun gun in Manassas

Authorities say a woman was hospitalized after being attacked by a person with a stun gun in Manassas.

Officers say it happened around 6:30 p.m. on May 6 near the intersection of University Boulevard and Robertson Drive.

A 52-year-old woman told police that a male passenger got out of a maroon-colored SUV that was stopped nearby and shocked her with an electroshock weapon before getting back into the vehicle and driving off.

The victim was transported to an area hospital with minor injuries.

Investigators say the suspects is described as a black male, 5-feet-9-inches tall with a medium build, short black hair and a mustache, and wearing a white t-shirt.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
