UVA shelter in place lifted
UVA was placed under a shelter in place on Tuesday morning following the report of a suspect in the area.
VIRGINIA - UVA was placed under a shelter in place earlier Tuesday afternoon, due to a potential armed suspect in the area.

According to police, a suspect by the name of Nyheem Hill was last seen in the area of Alderman Road. It is being reported that Hill fled following an off-grounds traffic stop near Ivy Road and has a known criminal history and gang affiliation.
The suspect has no known affiliation with the university.
Police continue to search for the suspect but have not had any luck as yet. School officials say classes for the remainder of the day have been canceled and resume on Wednesday, February 26.
