Sylvia Mphofe is a Digital Content Producer, where she covers breaking and featured news stories in Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia.
Mphofe comes to FOX 5 DC from National Geographic and before that WDVM-TV, where she spent most of her career as a digital producer, writer, and reporter in Washington D.C. and Maryland. She's covered live programming during the Jan. 6 United States Capitol attack, Jimmy Carter's Funeral, and the Karen Huger DUI case.
She jumped into her passion for storytelling at Old Dominion University where she received her Bachelor’s degree.
Mphofe was born and raised in the DMV and is passionate about covering the stories of the communities she grew up in and helped shape her.
