Suspect in multiple outdoor arson fires arrested, DC Fire says

A man has been arrested for setting multiple outdoor fires Thursday and Friday, D.C. Fire and EMS says. 

DC Fire says a total of three outdoor fires were intentionally set in the Shaw and Pleasant Plains neighborhoods on Dec. 12. 

One was reported around 8:15 p.m. in the 1800 block of 8th St., NW. The others were reported in the 2200 block of Georgia Ave., NW and in the 1500 block of Marion St., NW. 

There were no structures involved and no injuries. 

The DC Fire and EMS Department Fire Investigation Unit was able to make an arrest in connection with the fires.

No additional information has been released on the suspect. Check back with FOX 5 for updates.
