Social Security experiencing IT issues online and in-person

WASHINGTON - Social Security Administration reports having IT issues online and in-person.

The department say they are unavailable while they address an IT hardware issue. While offices remain closed, they are answering general questions by telephone on their 800 number and in local offices.

This remains an ongoing investigation.
