Residents displaced after fire in utility room of Northeast DC home

WASHINGTON - Four residents were displaced after an early morning fire in Northeast D.C.

The fire was reported in the 1000 block of 18th Street around 4:30 a.m. Thursday.

Fire investigators say the blaze originated underneath the home's boiler in the utility room.

No injuries were reported. Officials say the Red Cross will assist the displaced residents.
