RECALL: Several Tyson chicken nuggets products
Tyson Foods is recalling more than 130,000 pounds of fully cooked chicken nuggets because of complaints of customers finding hard plastic pieces in them.
The products being recalled were sold at Costco locations nationwide. They are:
- 5 lb. bags of "Tyson FULLY COOKED PANKO CHICKEN NUGGETS" with a "Best if used by" date of July 18, 2017, case codes: 2006SDL03, 2006SDL33
- 20 lb. "SPARE TIME Fully Cooked Panko Chicken Nuggets" and "Nugget Shaped Chicken Breast Pattie Fritters With Rib Meat" with a production date of July 18, 2016 and case code 2006SDL03.
The products have an establishment number on the back of the package next to the "Best if used by" date: "EST. 13556."
Tyson Foods says the plastic material found in the products ranged in size from 21 mm in length and 6.5 mm in diameter and could be from a hard plastic rod that is used to connect a plastic transfer belt.
No injuries have been reported.
Consumers are being urged not to consume these products if they have them, and instead should return the products to the store or throw them away.
