Puppy miraculously survives after being shot in head with arrow

A puppy in South Carolina is lucky to be alive after being shot in the head with an arrow. App users click here for embed content.

Five-month-old Loca was rushed to Paws and Claws Animal Clinic in Columbia, SC Tuesday night after Loca's owners found her on their back porch.

Clinic employees say the arrow miraculosly missed her brain, spine, and throat.

"She is the luckiest unlucky girl in the world," Paws and Claws wrote in a Facebook post.

Loca underwent surgery and is continuing to recover, according to clinic staff. They say Loca will even get to go home to her family.

"Her vitals are perfect and she is bright and alert! We couldn't be happier to see how well she's doing."

Calhoun police are still searching for the person who shot Loca. They're asking anyone with information that may help find the culprit to reach out at 803-874-2741.
