Fairfax County police have released a sketch of a woman they believe may have information about the fatal shooting of a classroom assistant in the parking lot of an apartment complex in Alexandria.

The woman in the sketch is believed to been seen in the parking lot at the Cityside Huntington Metro Apartment complex in the 6000 block of Richmond Highway before 24-year-old Tarreece John Sampson was murdered last Friday at around 2:20 a.m.

"The sketch that was provided to us is a female that we would like to speak to and identify," said Fairfax County Police Officer Megan Hawkins. "She was seen in the area prior to the homicide. She is described as a light-skinned black female with almond shaped eyes. We're looking identify and speak with her at this time."

Sampson worked at Fort Hood Elementary School in Alexandria and had a graphic design business on the side.

Last Friday, police towed at least two cars and a motorcycle from the scene, but they would not say what they believe is the motive behind Sampson's killing.

Sampson's family said his memorial service will be held on Saturday.
