Police: No gun found after temporary shelter-in-place order at Clarksburg High School
CLARKSBURG, Md. - A shelter-in-place order at a Montgomery County school has been called off after police say reports of a gun in a backpack were unfounded.
Officers say that around 10:30 a.m. they received a report about a gun being found in the backpack of a student at Clarksburg High School.
A shelter-in-place-order was issued while the incident was investigated. Investigators say no gun was found.
Normal operations at the school were in place by 11:30 a.m.
