Mike Johnson elected Speaker of the House

After initial voting appears to indicate as inconclusive, Senator Mike Johnson is named Speaker of the House.

Speaker-designate Mike Johnson, R-La., was re-elected to lead the House of Representatives on Friday, according to FOX News.

Johnson won the vote during the first round of voting despite opposition from some of his own GOP colleagues.

The stakes were higher this year as Trump prepares to return to the White House with the House and Senate in GOP control and promising to deliver big on a 100-day agenda.
