Man stabbed in Laurel home invasion, victim in critical condition

LAUREL, Md. - A man was stabbed during a home invasion Tuesday evening in Laurel. 

Police say the call came in just after 5 p.m. for an armed robbery in the 9100 block of Scott Adam Court. 

Officials tell FOX 5 the male victim they discovered at the scene was stabbed multiple times. He was taken to a local hospital and is undergoing treatment for his injuries. 

Police have not confirmed whether multiple guns were involved in the robbery. Right now, they don't have information on how many people were involved or whether there was a motive.

"Our detectives are working diligently to identify the parties, all parties involved in this incident," said Laura Guenin, the public information officer for the Laurel Police Department. "Really what we need is if anybody knows anything, if there’s anybody who saw anything, heard anything, that they can contact the Laurel Police Department immediately."

The suspect or suspects are still on the loose.
