Man found dead with severe burns at Buddhist temple: police

The Brief

    • A 48-year-old man was found dead on December 25 at the Watt Buddhacheya Mongkol Buddhist Temple.
    • He was a member of the Temple and was known to stay there, police say.
    • Police say there are no signs of foul play.

WOODBRIDGE, Va. - A 48-year-old man was found dead with severe burns at the Watt Buddhacheya Mongkol Buddhist Temple on Wednesday. 

Officers responded to the temple on December 26 around 12:30 p.m. 

They found the man in a bedroom inside the temple, and he was pronounced dead on scene. Officials say he was a member of the temple, and was known to stay on the premises. 

The cause and manner of death is pending by the Medical Examiner's Office. Officials say there were no signs of foul play.
