Man dies nearly 2 months after hit-and-run in Prince George's County
PRINCE GEOREGE'S CO., Md. - A man has died two months after a hit-and-run crash in Prince George’s County, police say.
The victim has been identified as 47-year-old Deon Anthony Smith.
According to police, Smith was injured in the hit-and-run around 10:20 p.m. on Oct. 17 in the 4300 block of St. Barnabas Road in Temple Hills. He was taken to the hospital for treatment.

The preliminary investigation revealed that the driver struck the victim on St. Barnabas Road and fled the scene.
Investigators are still working to identify the driver and striking vehicle in this incident.
Smith was pronounced dead on Dec. 14. The case is now being investigated as a fatal hit-and-run.
