A Howard County police officer showed off his muy caliente salsa dancing skills while directing traffic outside of Merriweather Post Pavilion earlier this week.

COLUMBIA, Md. (FOX 5 DC) - A Howard County police officer showed off his muy caliente salsa dancing skills while directing traffic outside of Merriweather Post Pavilion earlier this week, and it was all caught on video.

John Richard Mercier of Mercier Music was entertaining officers assigned to the crosswalk with his “musical stylings” when the on-duty cop decided to spice things up with his dance moves, police say. The officer even tried to get some pedestrians crossing the street to join in on his dance.
