Garland PD: Man steals 12-pack of beer at gunpoint

Garland police need help identifying a man that stole a 12-back of beer at gunpoint from a gas station.

The robbery happened at a 7-Eleven store in the 3400 block of Forest Lane just before midnight on July 15.

Surveillance video shows a man grab a 12-pack of Budwieser beer and walk to the front of the store. He then pulled out a handgun, pointed it at the clerk and left the store without paying.

Garland Police Lieutenant Pedro Barineau said the man never said a word to anyone as he left very calmly walked out as to patrons and a clerk simply froze.

"The fact that this guy was willing to just point the gun at him and casually walk out of the store this guy is dangerous," said Barineau.

The suspect is described as a white or Hispanic male, wearing a blue baseball hat, black shirt, grey shorts and black tennis shoes.

Anyone who may recognizes the robbery suspect is urged to call the Garland Police Department.
