Firefighters honored for saving children, infant from Temple Hills house fire

Several firefighters in Prince George's County were recognized for their heroic and lifesaving acts while fighting a fire last year.

The firefighters were battling a blaze on Alcon Drive in Temple Hills on Sunday, October 29, 2017 and determined a family, including young children, were trapped inside. Two young children and an infant were pulled from the building and given CPR. All of the occupants survived.

Prince George's County Fire Chief Benjamin M. Barksdale said at the ceremony that the firefighters were directly responsible for saving the lives of two young children and an infant.
