Elderly man dead after fire destroys home in Prince George's County

COLMAR MANOR, Md. - An elderly man is dead after a fire broke out at his home in Prince George's County.

The fire was reported in the 4200 block of Monroe Street just after 10:00 p.m. on Sunday.

Firefighters were able to rescue a 70-year-old man from the fire. He was transported to a local hospital but later died from his injuries. The victim was identified as William Mobley.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
