DC Police investigate violent night in the District

WASHINGTON - D.C. Police are investigating after a violent night in the District resulted in two shootings and a double stabbing.

The most recent happened just before 3 a.m. Monday in the 1800 block of L Street in the northwest. Police are on the scene and say the shooting victim was found suffering from non-life threatening injuries in the area of nearby Quincy Street.

Officers are also investigating a double stabbing that happened in the 700 block of 7th Street around 11 p.m. Sunday. Authorities say both men suffered minor injuries.

In the northeast, investigators say a man was shot in the 5300 block of Clay Terrace around 10:30 p.m. Sunday. The victim was hospitalized.

So far officers have no word on motives or suspects in any of the incidents.
