Child struck by vehicle in Bowie

BOWIE, Md. - An elementary age child was struck by a vehicle in Bowie Wednesday morning. The accident happened in the in 3100 block of Belair Drive around 8 a.m.

A Maryland State Police chopper transported the child. They suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The cause of the accident is not known.
