Bomb threat prompts lockdown at Montgomery County high school

NORTH KENSINGTON, Md. - A bomb threat reported at a high school in Montgomery County prompted a lockdown on Thursday, according to officials.

Montgomery County Public Schools said Albert Einstein High School in North Kensington was placed on lockdown after it received a bomb threat.

According to the Montgomery County Police Department, the threat was received via email and claimed there was an explosive device outside of the building.

Authorities said K9 units conducted a search of the grounds and said no threat was found. Students were dismissed from school following the conclusion of the investigation.
