Basement fire injures firefighter in Northwest DC

WASHINGTON - A firefighter was injured after flames broke out in the basement of a home in Northwest, D.C.

The fire happened in the 1300 block of Van Buren Street around 1 a.m.

The firefighter was transported with minor injuries.

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
