Atlanta Archdiocese: Pope has Energized Catholic Church
ATLANTA - Archdiocese of Atlanta Archbishop Wilton Gregory said there is a lot of enthusiasm surrounding Pope Francis' visit to the United States.
Archbishop Gregory told FOX 5 on Friday the Pope's approachability is infusing the church with positive energy. He said it is unlike anything many believers have seen in years.
Archbishop Gregory said it comes at a time when the Atlanta Archdiocese is also growing.
"He's energized the Catholic Church in ways, that for many people, they have not experienced this kind of positive energy coming from the leadership of the Catholic Church in a long time," Archbishop Gregory said.
