ATF conducts explosion protection training with local K9 units
FAIRFAX, Va. - There's a new weapon in the war on terror and it stands on four legs.
Dozens of K9 units from local police agencies were in Fairfax Wednesday for explosion protection training sponsored by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
The police dogs were given the National Odor Recognition Test which trains them to detect explosives and accelerants.
