Arrest made in violent DC restaurant shooting; search continues for 2 suspects

Police have arrested a man in connection with a violent D.C. restaurant shooting that was captured on surveillance video.

Officers say 26-year-old Delonte Wesley Rouse, of Southeast, D.C., was arrested on Thursday and charged with assault with a dangerous weapon.

Investigators say the incident happened on Sunday, January 27 around 12:07 a.m. in a restaurant in the 800 block of H Street. An argument led to a man pulling a gun and shooting another man inside of the establishment, investigators say. The victim was shot multiple times and much of the shooting was captured on surveillance video which was released by police earlier this week.

Police say a second male suspect assaulted the victim who at one point can be seen struggling to fight back. A woman can also be seen in the video recovering a handgun police say was used in the shooting.

Officers are continuing their search for the two remaining suspects. The case remains under investigation.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police ay 202-727-9099. A $10,000 reward to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the persons responsible for the shooting is being offered.
