Anne Arundel County elementary student brought cocaine to school, police say
BROOKLYN PARK, Md. - A fifth-grade student brought cocaine into an Anne Arundel County elementary school, according to officials.
Anne Arundel County police said they were called to Belle Grove Elementary School in Brooklyn Park, Maryland at about 1:25 p.m. on Wednesday for a drug complaint.
Authorities said a student approached a teacher and turned over a small baggie of what was believed to be cocaine. The student reached into the pockets of a new pair of pants and felt the baggie, according to police.
Officers performed a field test on the bag, which tested positive for cocaine. Charges were pending against the student and the student's parents, according to officials.
