An empty coffin was found on the roadside in Prince George's County, Maryland.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, Md. - An empty casket was found on the side of the road in Prince George's County.

Early Thursday morning, neighborhood residents were in disbelief as they tried to figure out where the abandoned casket came from. According to officials, the casket found in Marlboro Village was empty. 

The Department of Public Works and Transportation calling it "a case of illegal dumping."
