3 killed in car accident on Maryland's Eastern Shore
GIRDLETREE, Md. -- Three people were killed when the vehicle they were in struck a tree and caught fire on Maryland's Eastern Shore.
The accident happened in on Route 12 near Onley Road around 9 p.m. in southern Worcester County.
Authorities say the vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree before catching fire.
Police identified the victims as 26-year-old Nicole G. Earnest, 21-year-old Amanda H. Phillips, and 45-year-old Sean E. Mobley. All three are from Chincoteague, Virginia. All three were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
The investigation is still continuing at this time.
