Goonatilake, a Leesburg native, graduated Thursday from George Mason’s College of Engineering and Computing. He’s the youngest graduate with a 4.0 GPA in GMU history.

What’s next for the 15-year-old? He’s on track to earn his master’s in computer science from GMU in May 2025. And maybe somewhere along the way, get his driver’s license.

"He’s blowing us all away. I still can't believe it," said Yevin’s mom, Llana.

His skills don’t stop at computer science – Yevin loves playing cricket and would like to one day play for the US national team.

What’s next for Yevin?

"PHD," he says.
