Mount Airy storm damage confirmed as EF-1 tornado, National Weather Service says
MOUNT AIRY, Md. - Friday night storm damage in Mount Airy, Maryland has now been confirmed as an EF-1 tornado, according to the National Weather Service.
Three people were injured in the collapse, officials say.
The fire department in Carroll County says it also responded to other weather-related incidents in the area.
The Baltimore area also saw severe weather, which caused building damage at the Amazon fulfillment center and led to the death of two people.
The storms in Baltimore have also been confirmed by the National Weather Service as an EF-1 tornado.
Officials in Baltimore County also reported that the roof on two apartment buildings were blown off.
