March is definitely coming in like a lion! While most of us are trying to look ahead toward spring a powerful nor'easter is bringing dangerous winds, rain and even a few snowflakes in our direction.

A nor'easter that is developing off of the Atlantic coast will bring snow to interior portions of Massachusetts, New York, and Pennsylvania and is expected to bring dangerous winds to the D.C. region. High Wind Warnings and Alerts will be in place across much of the region beginning Thursday night, through the overnight hours and into the day on Friday. FOX 5's Mike Thomas says dangerous wind gusts of 40, 50, and even 60 miles per hour could be possible. The possibility for downed trees and power outages will also be present.

Don't be surprised if you see some snowflakes Friday morning across the D.C. region along with the heavy winds. The mountains of western Maryland may even pick up some heavier snow accumulations.

The weekend looks dry and full of sunshine with temperatures around 50 degrees.
