WASHINGTON - Strong, quick moving storms moved across the D.C. region Tuesday bringing rain, lightning and winds to parts of the region.

The storm system moved in from the west and should be out of the area by the early afternoon.
Sunshine, humidity and high temperatures in the 80s are expected during the afternoon hours. More possible unsettled weather conditions could bring some pop-up storms through the rest of the week.
