Confirmed tornado flips cars at Virginia Naval base

High winds damaged several vehicles at a King George County, Virginia naval base Friday morning after a tornado was confirmed.

Naval Support Facility (NSF) Dahlgren says around 8:30 a.m., three vehicles in one of their parking lots were seen overturned due to the strong winds, and several others were damaged. No injuries were reported as a result.

The National Weather Service said the EF-1 tornado with peak winds of 90 miles per hour came through Dahlgren, Virginia between 8:19 a.m. and 8:21 a.m. The twister brought down several trees in its path and also damaged a baseball field in the area.
