WASHINGTON - Be prepared for an arctic blast hitting the D.C. region this weekend.
A quick burst of snow showers and flurries passed through the region Friday night. But now, the cold air is moving in. Temperatures will be about 20 degrees BELOW normal both Saturday and Sunday. Brutal winds are expected to pick up throughout Saturday making it feel like it's below zero degrees outside.
A Wind Advisory has been issued from 3 a.m. through 6 p.m. Saturday for the region. Winds between 20 to 30 miles per hour are expected with gusts around 50 miles per hour.
Don't underestimate the cold air and stay safe on the roads.
Don't forget, early next week - Monday into Tuesday - the region is likely to see another snowstorm. Details on this are still coming in - stay with the FOX 5 Weather team for the latest.
