DC Police Department budget battle

The mayor and council’s battle over the city’s budget for police took a turn today with D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser now saying if we’re not careful, we are going to “break the department,” talking about the stress on officers and overtime as member numbers dip lower and lower.
