Police officer, driver hospitalized after cruiser involved in crash with vehicle in northeast DC

A police officer in D.C. was injured after crashing with another vehicle overnight in the District. The crash happened around midnight on New York Avenue near Bladensburg Road in the northeast. Officials believe the officer was heading to a call when the crash occurred.
