Heavy weekend rain leaves behind flooded roadways, downed trees

A weekend of drenching rain has left behind flooded roadways and downed trees across the area Monday. In Laurel, a swollen Little Patuxent River has flooded its banks washing away part of a roadway along Route 198 (Fort Meade Road) at Bald Eagle Drive.
