Increased patrols in DC as demonstrations mark year since Hamas' Oct. 7 attack on Israel

Monday marks one year since Hamas launched a surprise cross-border attack on Israel, killing some 1,200 people, mostly civilians, and abducting another 250, setting off a conflict that continues today.
