Catholic University murder: New charges filed against suspect accused of killing Kentucky teacher

New charges have been filed against a man accused of shooting and killing a teacher who was visiting D.C. in 2023. A grand jury indicted Jaime Macedo Thursday with five counts including felony murder while armed, robbery while armed, and unlawful possession of a firearm by a convicted felon - all in connection to the shooting death of 25-year-old Maxwell Emerson who was shot and killed on Catholic University's campus in July of 2023 during a robbery. Macedo is expected back in court Friday for an arraignment hearing.
