Tragic loss of Navy SEAL inspires family's advocacy for veterans

As we celebrate Veterans Day, FOX 5 is looking ahead to National Warrior Call Day. 29-year-old Ryan Larkin was a decorated U.S. Navy seal, a special operations medic, and a sniper, who according to his father started to spiral after two combat tours in Afghanistan and two in Iraq. Frank Larkin -- the 40th Sergeant at Arms of the United States Senate and a former Navy SEAL himself says his son had a deep desire to help his fellow teammates who shared his struggles and pain. Ryan was forced out of the Navy with an honorable discharge. And tragically in April 2017, he took his own life. Now his family is taking that grief, and trying to save a life.
